NU Admission Circular 2026

The National University published the official NU Admission Circular 2026. This circular is for Honours 1st Year. It came out on 20 November 2025. It officially covers the 2025-2026 academic session.

The online primary application started on 23 November 2025. It ended on 31 December 2025. The authority later extended this deadline in some official notices. You had to fill out the form online. The official portal is www.nu.ac.bd/admissions. You do this under the Honours section.

The application fee is Tk 1,000 (one thousand taka). You pay this fee directly to your chosen college. You can use mobile banking or pay in person. The deadline for college confirmation was 5 January 2026. After that, colleges sent their share to Sonali Bank. They sent Tk 700 per student between 6 and 12 January 2026.

NU Admission Test Date

Get ready for the exam. The National University Admission 2026 test for Honours 1st Year has a fixed date.

  • Exam Time: 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM (exactly 1 hour)
  • Format: MCQ
Note: The test happens at the exact same time all across Bangladesh.

Application Eligibility

You must meet a minimum GPA to apply. These rules are the same for everyone. It does not matter which education board you are from.

Humanities & Business

(Includes HSC in Business Management and Diploma in Commerce)

  • SSC (2022/2023): Min GPA 2.00 (includes 4th subject).
  • HSC (2024/2025): Min GPA 2.00 (includes 4th subject).
Total GPA: Minimum 4.50

Science

(Includes HSC Vocational from the Technical Board)

  • SSC (2022/2023): Min GPA 2.25 (includes 4th subject).
  • HSC (2024/2025): Min GPA 2.00 (includes 4th subject).
Total GPA: Minimum 4.75

Special Cases:

O-Level and A-Level students can also apply. They must meet the equivalent grades and send their documents by email to adm.hons@nu.ac.bd. Foreign students need an equivalence certificate from the education board.

Important: You must apply under the same group you passed in HSC (e.g., Science students must apply for Science subjects).

How to Apply

Applying is very easy. The process is fully online. Follow these simple steps for NU Admission 2026:

First, go to the www.nu.ac.bd admission portal.

Click on the “Honours” tab. Then, click on “Apply Now (Honours)”.

Enter your SSC and HSC roll numbers. Add your registration number, board, and passing year. Ensure all typing is correct.

The system will show your personal details. Check carefully. Correct gender if wrong.

Choose your eligible subjects. Then, pick colleges according to preference order.

Upload your recent passport-size photograph (Size: 120×150 pixels, Format: JPG, Max Size: 50KB).

Submit the completed form. Receive Application ID and PIN. Download & print form.
