The National University is the largest public university in Bangladesh. It has thousands of affiliated colleges across the country. Around 34 lakh students study in different programs here. The online application for the 2025-2026 session ran from November 2025 to February 2026. This year, over 4.5 lakh students participated in the admission test. The exam took place across 138 selected centers in various divisional and district towns.

The admission result now depends on a 200-mark system. The new 100-mark MCQ test makes up half the score. There is no negative marking, but students must get at least 35 marks to pass. Class Start Date: Academic classes for the 2025-2026 session are scheduled to begin on 02 June 2026.

Submission and Fees: The printed form, along with a registration fee of 1,130/- BDT, must be submitted to the assigned college (either directly or via mobile banking) between 06 May 2026 and 18 May 2026.

Subject Migration: Students who wish to change their assigned subject may select the “Yes” option for subject migration in the final admission form. Changes will be granted based on merit and seat availability.

Dual Enrollment Warning: Any student currently enrolled in the 2024-2025 academic year must cancel their previous admission by 13 May 2026. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of their 2025-2026 registration due to dual enrollment.

College Confirmation: Colleges must verify student data and confirm admissions by 19 May 2026.

The 2nd Merit List is meant for students who miss out on the 1st Merit List for the 2025-2026 academic year. It is published only after the first list’s admissions are completely finished. The 2nd Merit List for the National University Admission Result will be published on May 21, 2026, at 4:00 PM. This list fills up any seats that remain vacant in the colleges. The selection rules remain exactly the same as the 1st Merit List. It strictly considers your test scores along with your SSC and HSC GPAs.

Students selected in the 2nd Merit List must complete their final admission form online and collect the print/PDF copy between June 03, 2026, and June 11, 2026. Please note that if a student selected in the 2nd Merit List is already admitted to any educational program in the 2024-2025 session, they must cancel their previous admission by June 09, 2026, to fill out the final admission form; otherwise, their 2025-2026 admission and registration will be canceled due to dual admission.

The form is easily available on the NU admission portal at www.nu.ac.bd/admissions. Students log in by navigating to the Applicant Login option, clicking the Honours Login link, and using their correct Application ID and PIN. They submit the printed form along with a registration fee of 1,130 Taka to the assigned college (either via mobile banking or directly) between June 04, 2026, and June 13, 2026. Migration Result


The Migration Result allows students admitted from the 1st Merit List to change their assigned subject. It will be published alongside the 2nd Merit List on May 21, 2026, at 4:00 PM. The Migration Result for the NU Honours Admission Result 2026 will be available via SMS at 4:00 PM and online after 9:00 PM. Students can apply for migration by selecting ‘Yes’ in the specific box for subject change in the final admission form. The whole application process is completely online through the NU portal.
