The National University (NU) Admission Result for the first year of undergraduate honours programs will be published on the official website: www.nu.ac.bd/admissions.
The passing grade for the 100-mark MCQ-based admission test is 35 for Science, Humanities, and Business Studies disciplines. The merit list for admitted students will be prepared based on a total of 200 marks.
- Admission test score: 100 marks
- SSC and HSC GPA score: 100 marks (calculated using a specific formula)
Each college will have separate merit lists for each subject based on students’ subject preferences. If two or more applicants have the same merit score for the same subject in the same college/institution, the following criteria will be used to determine the merit order:
- Higher score in the admission test;
- Higher sum of 40% of SSC/equivalent GPA (excluding 4th subject) and 60% of HSC/equivalent GPA (excluding 4th subject);
- Higher sum of 40% of SSC/equivalent grade points (including 4th subject) and 60% of HSC/equivalent grade points (including 4th subject);
- If applicants have the same GPA in SSC/equivalent exam, the applicant with the earlier date of birth will be placed higher in the merit list (if the dates of birth are the same, the applicant with the lower roll number will be given preference).
Admission Process:
- The admission process will be completed in phases through the 1st merit list, 2nd merit list (subject to availability of vacant seats), quota merit list, and merit lists for the 1st and 2nd release slips.
- There will be no opportunity to apply for the 3rd release slip in this admission process.
