NU Admission Form 2024-2025

The National University Honours admission process for 2024-2025 has begun. NU applications have started from January 21, 2025. The last date for applications is February 28, 2025. The NU Admission Form 2025 must be filled out through the website www.nu.ac.bd/admissions.

The National University Admission Form must be filled out in two stages. First, the primary application must be completed. After passing the admission test, the final admission form must be filled out to complete the admission. Additionally, students not nominated for admission in the merit list will have to apply for release slips.

NU Admission Form 2025

National University primary application must be done according to the following schedule.

  • Application Start: January 21, 2025
  • Application Deadline: February 28, 2025
  • Application Form Submission and Fee Payment: January 22 to March 2, 2025

Required Information for Primary Application:

  • SSC/equivalent exam roll, registration number, board, and passing year
  • HSC/equivalent exam roll, registration number, board, and passing year
  • An active mobile number
  • Email ID (if any)
  • Quota information if there is a quota
  • Photo
  • College and subject preference

If the above information is ready, you can start the primary application.

NU Application Form 2025

If the required information and documents are ready, you can start filling out the NU Admission Form 2025. To do this, you have to follow the steps below.

  1. Login: The applicant has to go to the Honours Tab on the National University admission website (www.nu.ac.bd/admissions) and click on the Apply Now (Honours) option and correctly enter the roll number, registration number, education board/university, passing year, and a registered mobile number (own or guardian’s) of secondary and higher secondary/equivalent examinations in the information box displayed on the website. It is to be noted that the National University will use this mobile number for providing educational assistance information to the students in the future.
  2. Correct Gender Determination: At this stage, Male or female will be displayed according to the information in the applicant’s online stored database. If Female is displayed instead of Male or Male is displayed instead of Female in the applicant’s information box, the correct Gender must be entered by going to the Click to Change option. It is to be noted that if a male applicant applies to a women’s college due to an intentional or gender error, that applicant’s application form/admission will be considered canceled.
  3. College Selection and Subject Preference: By selecting the name of any college based on the division and district according to the applicant’s preference, the list of eligible subjects and the number of seats in the respective college will be visible. From this list, the applicant must carefully determine the desired subjects’ preferences. Subsequently, the applicant will be allotted subjects based on merit according to this preference.
  4. Quota Selection (If Applicable): An applicant who wishes to be admitted under the Freedom Fighter’s Child, Indigenous, Special Needs/Differently Abled, or Ward Quota must select the applicable quota for him/her in the specified place of the information box. It is to be noted that only the children/offspring of National University teachers, officers, and employees can apply in the Ward Quota. In the case of quota applications, the original certificate issued by the appropriate authority must be present. The quota preference must be determined if an applicant is eligible for one or more quotas. It is to be noted that the seats reserved for quotas will be considered as additional to the subject-wise allocated seats.
  5. Photo Upload: While filling out the primary application form, the applicant’s recently taken passport-size color photo must be scanned and uploaded. The photo size must be 120×150 pixels, Image Type: jpg, and the maximum file size: 50Kb. If any photo other than the applicant’s photo is uploaded in the primary application form, that applicant’s admission and registration will be considered canceled.
  6. Submit Application: After filling out the form with correct information and photo, click on the Submit Application option first. At this stage, the applicant’s Application ID and PIN code will be displayed, and the applicant must download the form and collect the print/pdf copy.
  7. Application Form Cancellation/Incorrect Photo Change: The applicant must thoroughly check whether all the information and photos displayed on his/her primary application form are correct. If there is any mismatch of information or an incorrect photo in the application form, it must be corrected. To amend the application form, the applicant has to go to the Applicant Login option and click on the Honours Login link and enter the Application ID and PIN displayed on the application form. At this stage, if the applicant clicks on the Form Cancel/Photo Change Option link and clicks on the Click to Generate the Security Key option, a One-Time Password (OTP) will be sent via SMS to the personal mobile number mentioned in the application form. By entering this OTP, the applicant will be able to cancel his/her application form and fill out a new application form and upload the correct photo. It is to be noted that the applicant will get only one chance to cancel the primary application form. After the college confirms the primary application form, the applicant will no longer have the opportunity to cancel the form/change the incorrect photo.
  8. Primary Application Fee Payment at the Respective College: The applicant must sign with the date in the designated place of the printed primary application form. The application form signed by the applicant and the primary application fee of Tk. 700/- (seven hundred) must be submitted to the respective college (through mobile banking determined by the college or directly) within the stipulated time. All applicants whose primary application forms are confirmed online by the college will be notified via SMS. Suppose the applicant does not receive an SMS on his/her mobile phone after submitting the application form and the prescribed application fee to the college. In that case, it should be understood that the respective college has not confirmed his/her application form. In this case, the applicant has to contact the respective college within the stipulated time. No applicant will be allowed to participate in the admission test without online confirmation of the primary application form by the college.

NU Final Admission Form

If you are selected for Admission through the Merit List, Release Slip, or Quota, you should fill out the Final Admission Form. The Final Admission must be completed within the timeframe. To complete the NU Final Admission Form 2025, follow these steps.

  1. Login: A student placed in the merit list/quota merit list has to go to the Applicant Login option on the admission website and click on the Honours Login link and enter the correct Application ID and PIN. In this case, the applicant’s name, allotted subject, name of the concerned college, and other information along with the final admission application form will be displayed on the website.
  2. Subject Change Application: If any student placed in the merit list is willing to change his/her subject, he/she has to select the Yes option in the specified subject change section in the final admission form. However, students placed in the quota merit/release slip merit list will not have the opportunity to change subjects.
  3. Collection of Print Copy of Final Admission Form: If the correct and complete admission application form is clicked on the Submit Application option, the final admission application form will be displayed on the website. The form must be downloaded and printed in two copies on A4 (8.5″x11″) offset paper. The form can be printed multiple times later by entering the Application ID and PIN.
  4. Submission of Final Admission Form to the Respective College: The applicant and his/her guardian must sign with the date in the designated place of the printed final admission form. Two copies of the signed final admission form and the registration fee of Tk. 565/- (five hundred sixty-five) must be submitted to the respective college (through mobile banking determined by the college or directly). All students whose final application forms are confirmed online by the respective college will be able to know this from the Applicant Login option.

Subject Change Form

The results of subject change for admitted students will be published according to the merit order in the subject-wise vacant seats in the respective college, and students will be notified through the admission website/SMS. If the subject is changed, the student has to sign the consent column in the admit card provided to the student at the time specified by the respective college.

It is to be noted that if any student’s subject is changed, his/her admission in the previous subject will be canceled, and his/her admission in the changed subject will be confirmed. However, if any student’s subject is not changed, his/her admission in the previous subject will remain valid. It is to be noted that no fee has to be paid by the student for subject change. If the subject is changed, the subject change form must be downloaded and submitted to the changed department by following the steps below.

  1. Visit the admission website.
  2. Click on the “Applicant Login” link from the Honours menu.
  3. Login with the admission roll and PIN.
  4. Download and print the subject change form from the dashboard.
  5. Submit the subject change form to the changed department.

NU Release Slip Application

There are a total of two release slip application opportunities at the National University. Release slip application starts after the merit list admission process is over. The following steps must be followed sequentially to apply for a release slip.

Login (Login)For the release slip application, the applicant has to go to the Applicant Login option on the admission website (www.nu.ac.bd/admissions) to the Honours Login link and enter the correct Application ID and PIN. The applicant’s name and other information, including the release slip application form, will be displayed on the website.
College and Subject PreferenceAt this stage, going to the College Selection Option, if the applicant selects a college according to his/her preference, the list of subject-wise vacant seats in that college and the list of his/her Eligible subjects will be visible. The applicant will re-determine and enter the preference from his/her list of Eligible subjects. In this way, an applicant will fill out the release slip application form by sequentially determining the subject preference in five colleges according to his/her preference.
Release Slip Application Form SubmitAfter filling out the form with correct information and clicking on the Submit Application option, the applicant’s name, roll number, college name, and subject preference, including the release slip form, will be displayed on the website. The form must be downloaded, and a print/pdf copy must be collected on A4 (8.5″x11″) offset white paper, but it does not have to be submitted to the colleges mentioned in the application form or any fee paid.
Release Slip Application Form CancellationEven after the release slip application form is finalized, if any applicant wishes to amend or change the college/subject preference on his/her application form, he/she has to go to the Applicant Login option to the Honours Login link and enter the correct Application ID and PIN. At this stage, the applicant has to go to the Cancel Release Slip option and click on Click to Generate the Security key. At this time, the applicant will be given a One-Time Password (OTP) via SMS to the personal mobile number mentioned on his/her application form. By entering this OTP, the applicant can cancel the release slip application form and fill out a new one. The applicant will only have this opportunity once.
Release Slip ResultsThe release slip results will be published at the scheduled time. There will be no opportunity to change subjects in case of admission through release slips.
Collection of Final Admission Form and Registration Fee Payment at the Respective CollegeSuppose the applicant is allotted a subject in his/her selected college through the release slip. In that case, he/she will go to the Honours Applicant’s Login option on the admission website fill out the final admission form, and collect the print/pdf copy of it. In addition, the applicant must submit a Tk registration fee. 565/- (five hundred sixty-five) to the respective college (through mobile banking determined by the college or directly).

Conclusion

The NU Admission Form 2025 must be filled out, downloaded, and submitted following the specified dates. If the NU application form cannot be filled out within the specified dates, the candidate will not be given another opportunity.
